Training Calendar

April is open for plenty of training opportunities. We have courses scheduled for ID Enhanced CCW, NRA Basic Pistol, and more! Check out the Training Calendar Here.

Need for training?

Many states require training to get a Concealed Carry Weapon license (named may vary). While Idaho doesn’t require individuals to get training to carry a firearm concealed, as it is your God given right to do so, it is important to attend training for a few reasons.

Firearms safety is paramount to carrying a firearm for self defense. Not in just keeping you safe, but the safe use of the firearm while defending yourself or your loved ones. When talking safety, we mean understanding the rules for firearm safety while drawing the firearm, trigger finger placement, and aiming, among other safety concerns.

When talking about shooting, it is best to have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of shooting. This way you have a basis for improving your shooting by working on each particular aspect of shooting.

Not every situation needs a drawn firearm solution. This is part of the responsibility of carrying a firearm. Carrying a firearm is not a means to go wherever you want, whenever you want. We need to understand that while we carry a firearm it is our duty to avoid potential confrontations where we would need to use it. We use awareness of our surroundings to avoid potential confrontations.

While this is not an exhaustive list, it illustrates the need for training because to learn these from carrying a firearm is time consuming, expensive, and potentially deadly.
